Pilot POV part 2! - starting the T67M Firefly, built by Slingsby in Yorkshire. A former RAF basic trainer, now used across the U.K. in UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training). The fully aerobatic airframe is perfect for UPRT, aerobatic ratings and with the addition of the ‘wobbly prop’ is great for additional power management training.

This example belongs to the fleet at .uk based right here at Shoreham.

*New Resident Alert* - This beautiful PA28 Cherokee 140 has joined the fleet of South Coast Flying Group and now resides on our apron. Having been rebuilt from the ground up she sports a sharp new paint scheme and an improved 160hp engine, whilst keeping the Piper heritage alive with the classic 'Hersey Bar' wings.

Once again the Terminal Building is full of beautiful artwork, this time showcasing a grand selection of aircraft through the ages.

The artist - David Howden - learned to fly at Biggin Hill, achieving a solo certificate and in later life visited Shoreham regularly to enjoy the aircraft and cafes, as a self taught artist he refined his craft over many years to create the wonderful pieces we display.

After a tragic family loss, David and his family spent decades supporting others through the 'Support After Murder & Manslaughter' organisation and donations can still be made in his memory to SAMM National (Support After Murder & Manslaughter) - samm.org.uk

Join us in celebrating 90 wonderful years of our beloved Terminal Building!

Opened on 13th June 1936 as 'Brighton Hove and Worthing Joint Municipal Airport', the historic art-deco terminal has been on the forefront of aviation from the very start.

From fledgling commercial operations to an icon of the south coast and general aviation, the Terminal Building has lived through the golden age, into the modern tech-era and will no doubt be a favourite of pilots and enthusiasts for many years to come.

The beautiful period design has made the building a highly desired filming location, for TV shows such as 'The Crown' and major films such as 'The Da Vinci code'.

Tell us your favourite memory involving the Main Terminal Building below!

Where better to tell the ol' man he means a lot to you, than giving him a day full of food, engine noise and trips to the sky?

With two airport cafés to choose from, six flying organisations and the grass-green airport views, we can't think of a better place for the best-dads-in-the-world to supervise the goings-on and become part of the U.K.s most historic airport.
