Pindar announces a Strategic Partnership aimed at supporting the future growth of the Global Solo Challenge.
A partnership built on logistics, innovation and a shared vision for the future of offshore sailing.
Pindar is proud to announce a new long-term Strategic Partnership with the Global Solo Challenge (GSC), becoming Official Logistics Partner of the event whilst also working together to support the continued growth and international development of one of offshore sailing's fastest growing solo races.
The partnership brings together two organisations with a shared passion for offshore sailing, innovation and creating opportunities for sailors at every level of the sport.
Whilst Pindar will provide logistics support for the Global Solo Challenge, the partnership extends far beyond the movement of boats and equipment. Together, Pindar and the Global Solo Challenge organisers will collaborate on initiatives designed to strengthen the event, enhance the experience for competitors and support the wider development of offshore sailing internationally.
As Official Logistics Partner, Pindar will deliver worldwide transport and logistics services before, during and after each edition of the Global Solo Challenge, providing competitors with specialist support for yacht transportation, customs management, shipping, equipment logistics and project planning.
The partnership also establishes a dedicated Global Solo Challenge Competitor Logistics Programme, giving current and prospective entrants access to specialist marine logistics expertise throughout their campaign, from preparing a yacht for the start line through to post-race transport and future racing programmes.
Recognising the increasingly international nature of offshore sailing, the programme will provide competitors with a single point of contact for worldwide logistics support, helping reduce complexity, improve planning and allow sailors to focus on their race preparation.
Looking beyond the event itself, both organisations share an ambition to create a stronger and more accessible pathway into offshore sailing.
Together, Pindar and the event organiser will explore opportunities to develop initiatives that encourage greater participation in offshore sailing, with particular emphasis on supporting young sailors and women seeking to progress towards short-handed and solo ocean racing.
By combining the Global Solo Challenge's unique position within offshore racing with Pindar's experience in international sailing, education, logistics and programme development, the partnership aims to help remove barriers to participation and inspire the next generation of offshore sailors.
