✈️ Barton Aerodrome Facade Transformed!

Monaghan Property Services Ltd is excited to show off a major part of the ongoing Barton Aerodrome renovation. We took this key structure and completely upgraded its exterior.

The old, worn timber was stripped away. We replaced it with crisp, new cladding, ensuring a robust and clean finish. This property is built to last. We then executed a full painting scheme, giving the structure its elevated new look.

This included applying a high-durability, gloss finish to the vibrant blue facade and the main entrance door. Our focus on detail was comprehensive. We also meticulously painted the old worn down-pipes and all decorative timber facades across the rest of the building.

The result is stunning longevity and vastly improved aesthetics. We're proud to contribute to the modernisation of this historic site!

🏡 Flawless Facelift for a Portfolio Property!

Monaghan Property Services Ltd just completed a major exterior renovation for one of our landlord clients to make necessary repairs and to re-render the elevation that has been in disrepair for quite some time.

We began by completely removing the old, deteriorated render. Getting back to brick is always the crucial first step. Next, our team identified and performed essential remedial repairs to the window lintel, ensuring long-term structural integrity and weatherproofing.

The preparation phase was meticulous. We precision-set all the stop and corner beads—this is what guarantees those perfectly crisp, straight lines you see on the finished product. Finally, we expertly applied the new render, achieving a smooth, visually stunning, and highly durable finish.

🚪False Door Transformation: Barton Aerodrome Control Tower Update ✨

Swipe to see the incredible before and after of the false door at the rear of the control tower at Barton Aerodrome. This door transformation is just one of the many jobs we have been conducting as part of a complete renovation of the tower. We at Monaghan Property Services Ltd are dedicated to bringing this iconic structure back to its former glory!

This wasn't just a simple re-decoration; it was a full structural renovation designed for long-term durability. We started by carefully removing the old, worn-out timber facade, which allowed us to replace the old rigid insulation with a new, high-performance material. To ensure lasting protection, we thoroughly treated the internal timber studs and installed a robust vapour barrier to manage moisture and prevent future decay.

With the core protected, we rebuilt the facade, installing new plywood panels before meticulously building up the detailed, panelled surface you see here. A thorough coat of primer followed by a vibrant blue gloss finish which culminated in this stunning result!

Bathroom Transformation: Timber Floor Restoration! 🛁 ✨

A failing bathroom floor can be a real problem, often due to hidden rotten timber. We recently tackled a comprehensive renovation where the floor and joists had extensive rot!

Our dedicated team carefully removed the old, damaged sections, repairing and replacing them to create a solid, safe base. Following this, we re-installed the original toilet, sink and shower unit. We then installed new P5 moisture-resistant boards to prevent future issues. The transformation continued with a new shower base, sleek marble splash panels, and a fresh vinyl floor for the perfect finish!

Our team meticulously re-bedded the flags, creating a smooth, gradual slope. We also added a custom decorative brick border, neatly covering a dangerous gap while adding a beautiful finish! ✨

The journey begins! ✨ We're thrilled to announce the start of our latest project at the historic, Grade II listed Control Tower at Barton Aerodrome! It's an honour to contribute to this iconic Manchester site, especially after last year's successful hangar renovation.

First up: a crucial clean-up! Our team has been hard at work jet washing the exterior cantilevered walkways, brickwork, and railings using our trusty cherry picker. This essential step helps us uncover the full extent of the concrete damage, paving the way for precise repairs.

This deep clean is the foundation for a comprehensive renovation, which will include concrete and brickwork repairs, pointing, door refurbishment, and a complete redecoration. We're committed to a thorough approach at Monaghan Property Services Ltd, ensuring every detail brings enduring quality.

Throwback: Barton Aerodrome Hangar - 1 Year on! ✨🛩

Can you believe it's been a year since we completed the renovation of the Grade II listed hangar at Barton Aerodrome? This was a truly special project for our team!

We meticulously carried out pointing repairs and updated the iconic sign from "City Airport" to the historically accurate "Barton Aerodrome".

We started by measuring the old sign to create a precise scale drawing for the new one, ensuring the font was a perfect match. After planning approval, we set up scaffolding, repaired the render, applied a matched base colour, and then chalked out and painted those new letters.

We are also happy to announce that we will be returning to Barton Aerodrome to carry out extensive renovation works to their grade II control tower, so stay tuned for updates on that project!
