πΊπΈ ALASKAβ¦ what a week and what a Gold Trip! π
Feeling incredibly lucky to have just returned from experiencing an unforgettable cruise around Alaska onboard the beautiful Norwegian Bliss. π’
From being Sleepless in Seattle on our first night, to boarding Bliss and setting sail for Alaska, we knew we were in for a special week.
The ship was fabulous, with outstanding service, great food and so many fun things to do onboard ποΈ π³ π but nothing could compete with the views outside! ποΈπ§ βοΈ
Every single day the landscape seemed to changeβ¦ snow-capped mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, forests and endless ocean. And the wildlife! ππ¦π¬ We were incredibly lucky to spot whales, orcas, dolphins and playful sea lions, sometimes just watching them from the ship.
Our days ashore were just as memorableβ¦
π Juneau β an amazing whale-watching trip and getting to see these incredible creatures in their natural habitat.
π Skagway β travelling on the famous White Pass Railway, with breathtaking scenery around every corner.
π» Ketchikan β a private tour exploring the area, watching the salmon making their way upstream and, of course, keeping our eyes peeled for bears!
π¨π¦ Victoria, Canada β our final stop and a lovely way to finish the adventure before sailing back to Seattle.
Then back onboard each day for more fun, fabulous food, a few drinks and yet another incredible view. πΉπ
Itβs difficult to put into words just how special Alaska is. The sheer scale and beauty of it really does have to be seen to be believed π
What a week, what an adventure and what incredible memories. Alaska, you were everything we hoped for and more. β€οΈποΈ
