Gosh… September 11th. 25 years ago today. ❤️

It’s one of those days where I can still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing.

I was working for RCI in Kettering at the time, and our insurance company was based in the United States. I remember the news coming through that a plane had hit the World Trade Center and, like so many people, we simply couldn’t comprehend what we were seeing.

Then, as the enormity of what was happening became clear, there was just complete shock and disbelief.

I can still remember the atmosphere that day. I can remember the conversations with my friends and colleagues at RCI and that awful feeling of watching something unfold that you knew would change the world forever.

And somehow, 25 years have now passed.

For those of us who remember September 11th, 2001, I don’t think we will ever forget where we were that day.

Today isn’t about business or holidays. It’s simply about stopping for a moment and remembering the thousands of people who went to work, boarded a flight or started an ordinary day and sadly never came home.

Thinking of every life lost, every family who lost someone they loved, and everyone whose life was changed forever that day.

25 years on, we still remember.

Rest in peace. ❤️🇺🇸

A huge thank you to Paul and Sue for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback following their recent trip.

For me, being a Travel Counsellor is about so much more than simply making a booking. It’s about getting to know my clients, keeping everything running smoothly and making sure those important little details are never forgotten.

Paul and Sue were celebrating their wedding anniversary on board Fred. Olsen, so of course I made sure the cruise line knew about it. I was delighted to hear that the restaurant team helped them celebrate and that they returned to their room to find flowers, fizz and beautifully sculptured towels waiting for them! 🥂💐

Those extra touches can turn a great holiday into a really special memory — and that’s exactly why I love what I do.

I’m out of the office this morning and based at the Holiday Inn, Crick, meeting with clients between 8am and 1pm.

I’ll still be keeping an eye on things in between appointments, but responses may be a little slower than usual while I’m with clients.
