It's been a long time since this page has had an update, first off apologies, but we are volunteers and recently a lot has happened limiting availability and progress

However work has been going on by our friends at Quorn Wagon and Wagon in keeping 6071 and 6581 in service, and also increasing the number of tank wagons on the GCR. If you have not seen their work then do check them out and if visiting the Steam Gala between the 5-8th October, keep an eye out for the freight sets.

It should also be noted Keith and Phil have been working on the Palbrick, it is a project that was requiring the final items to finish but as with any project areas need revisiting so current work has been updating the paintwork.

Thank you all for the recent likes, we've noticed a rather surprising increase in our page and as such it was deemed appropriate to at least give an update on the groups position.

Been a while since an update, mainly due to family and work commitments however work has progressed none the less so we thank you for being patient.

Keith has been working on ADB999023 Esso Tank Wagon, the underframe, as with any of our projects getting the first attention. From observations today over 50% of the underframe is already in gloss.
Tom has returned today and has made further progress on the north west corner, cleaning back and priming. This also included the air pipe holder.

Photos were also taken of our 2 previous projects, A6071 and A6581 to which should be uploaded.

If you would like to help us out then do get in touch

Our new project, started in 2018 by Keith as Tom has been away from the railway due to new family. A lot of progress already made on the underframe, with axles and brake gear soon to be worked on. As with all our projects, we start from the bottom up, meaning the more time consuming is completed first.

Awaiting its next run, the only thing missing are its plates

Class 20 D8098 pulling the freight at goods galore, with multiple firsts in the train including A6071 and A6581. They looked smart even if not fully lettered
