We were contacted by a local company who needed some concrete lego blocks moving across the town, a few other company's had attended and had refused the job, due to access issues and ground conditions not being great.

Upon assessing the situation we believed we could complete the job with zero issues and that's exactly what we did.

We deployed our wagon and drag brick crane and an artic this morning at 0400am to ensure the job was done within the receiving company's opening hours today.

The first load out was a straight artic load, and while shooting off to get it unloaded at the customers premises, Matt on the crane, broke the compound down and brought the remaining blocks to an area of the site more accessible for the artics return.

That is what you call a successful day, without its challenges, it just proves what having the right equipment and best drivers can achieve!

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Wagon & Drag Brick and Block Topseat Crane Operator to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident working independently while maintaining high safety and delivery standards.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the safe delivery and offloading of bricks and blocks to customer sites using a topseat crane. The position involves occasional nights out in the wagon, so flexibility would be required.

Key Requirements:

Valid Class 1 HGV licence
Experience operating a topseat crane for brick and block deliveries
Comfortable driving a MANUAL gearbox
Good knowledge of safe load handling and site safety procedures
Self-motivated with a professional attitude and good customer service skills

Today we went and collected the new asset for Dotties Haulage Ltd - we are excited for the future! Abit of colour coding, livery and a first use inspection, and it will be on the road!
