Friends of Radstock Railway Land

Friends of Radstock Railway Land Community group with project for Radstock Railway Land benefiting local community & trade, national biodiversity, and transport (rail, walking, cycle)

Friends of Radstock Railway Land was committed to the wildlife & biodiversity, railway & heritage, economic and community value of Radstock Railway Land. We tried to stop the cycle of development threat by securing a community green space, cycling, and visitor resource with a reinstated single track rail link to the main line. We did not succeed. The land has been developed.

Set in the best preserved mining town in England, this small site has good existing rail heritage features and exceptional biodiversity value; it is an invaluable community resource of unrecognised socio-economic benefit to the town. We have launched a project, Green Rail Radstock, to make our dream a reality. 1st step, a planning application with fee of about £2k. Offers of help and donations appreciated.
