Back from a short trip to Yarmouth with the family, great few days away celebrating my daughters birthday. It’s given me the inspiration for my next blog! Sailing and baiting him general with kids can be interesting… to say the least, but spotting dolphins, ice cream on the pier and swimming off the beach make it all worth while. The calm before the storm! This time tomorrow third view will be a sea of sails and chaos as over 100 yachts, dinghy’s, half deckers and traditional cruisers take part in the annual . A challenging race, brilliant organised by , that takes competitors all across the northern broads and it’s three rivers the Bure, the Ant and the Thurne. Chuck medieval bridges, tight reed lined channels and hire boats in to the mix and you can come to understand why this is one of the most do and must see sailing events of the inland year. Good luck to all taking part. I’ll be on the south coast watching from home, but we**am will give the best views of the yachts navigating the medieval bridge at Potter Heigham.
