Parked up for the night East Midlands. I like summer but 34 degrees is just too much if there's no beach nearby. Thankfully back to Scotland again tomorrow. Should be a bit cooler up there.

I love those old school mills and factories that are still in use today. Not very practical in today's terms and certainly not made for modern trucks but very atmospheric.

Nice day for a boat trip.

Busy and quite a challenging day delivering Scottish seed potatoes to Worcestershire. Those country lanes are bloody narrow and full of trees and hedges (not the best for your mirrors). When your trailer roof is starting to take branches off the trees you realise there aren't many trucks coming down these roads. Missing a turn due to the wrong delivery address and reversing back down a hill with no room to spare was fun.

You never know what the next load will be. A lightweight load is like winning the jackpot these days with the crazy diesel prices. Seems to matter more than the distance right now.

First week in business and diesel prices are about to go through the roof. Fantastic timing! Anyway, operator licence sorted, truck and trailer on the road and I'm busy dodging the traffic on the M6.

Keep on truckin'.
