Today’s visit on board Sky Princess in Southampton really confirmed something for me: if you love the feel of a quality family resort, you will feel right at home on this ship.

Just like a land-based family resort, you have:
* Fantastic children’s clubs (we literally struggled to get Sophie to leave!), packed with activities and dedicated spaces.
* Multiple pools and hot tubs where everyone can relax and play.
* A huge buffet with a great choice of food to keep even the fussiest eaters happy.
* Entertainment day and night, from live shows to relaxed lounges.

The difference: instead of staying in one place, you wake up somewhere new, with the same room, same friendly crew and all your favourite spots on board waiting for you. It is like taking your favourite family resort with you as you explore different destinations.

If you like the sound of a “floating resort” for your next family holiday and want to chat about Sky Princess or other cruise options, contact me and I will tailor the perfect sailing for you.

Out of Office Warning: Holiday Mode Loading!

I’ll be taking a break and heading off on my own adventures from Saturday 8 August to Tuesday 25 August.

I’m working as normal until Friday 7 August, so if you have any upcoming travel plans you’d like to chat through, new quotes, or tweaks to existing bookings, please do get in touch before then and I’ll be happy to help.

If you’re travelling while I’m away, don’t worry: you’ll be fully looked after by one of my amazing fellow Travel Counsellors, so you’ll still have support every step of the way.

Thank you so much for your continued support. I can’t wait to come back refreshed and full of new inspiration for your next getaway!

Meet Seren from St Joseph's Hospital, South Wales 👋

Seren is the Marketing and Communications Lead at St Joseph’s Hospital, an independent private hospital in Newport and one of South Wales’ leading healthcare providers.

This year is a particularly special one for the team as they celebrate an incredible 80 years of care, and they've been investing in innovative new technology helping patients access personalised care, specialist treatment and diagnostics more quickly.

There is also an exciting new chapter ahead for Seren, as she moves into the role of GP Liaison and External Relationships, continuing to strengthen relationships between St Joseph’s, local GPs and the wider community.

A brilliant fit for someone who is all about building strong connections. We’re wishing Seren every success in her new role!

School’s out, snacks are in, and the phrase “I’m bored” is about to become the soundtrack to your life for the next 6 weeks…

Somewhere between the 47th snack request, the Lego-related foot injury and the “are we there yet?” practice run in your living room, you’re going to realise something very important:

You need a holiday.

(And you might even take them with you.)

Whether you’re dreaming of:

• A family-friendly beach where they make friends and you make it to the end of a book
• A villa with a pool so they can cannonball while you caffeinate in peace
• Or a UK break that feels like a proper escape without the passport panic

I’m here to help you plan a break that keeps the small humans happy and gives you a chance to actually relax too.

Send me a message when the snacks run out and the patience does too, and let’s start planning your escape.

Travelling to New York in winter is one of the best ways to see the city at its festive best: twinkling Christmas lights, magical window displays and, this year, the Rockefeller tree lighting on 2 December. It is also the perfect timing for your Christmas shopping.

I have curated 3 ways to experience NYC, all including flights, transfers, a central hotel and a Go City Pass for 3 attractions, so you can tick off your pick of the big sights.

Budget – from £1,466 per person
Economy flights
Hotel overlooking the Manhattan skyline, just 10–15 minutes by subway from Grand Central. A brilliant choice for a first or second visit.

Moderate – from £2,381 per person
Premium Economy flights
4* Midtown hotel, just a stone’s throw from Macy’s and Fifth Avenue for all your shopping.

Luxury – from £6,538 per person
Business Class flights
Stay at the 5* Knickerbocker Hotel, perfectly located by Bryant Park.
Bonus extra: 30-minute helicopter flight over the Manhattan skyline.

Guide prices are per person, based on 2 adults sharing, travelling in late November (covering the Rockefeller tree lighting on 2 December).

Local taxes are extra at approx. $207 per room, payable locally in New York.

If you would like a New York fairytale to end the year on, send me a message with your dates, how many nights you would like to stay and whether you prefer Budget, Moderate or Luxury, and I will put together a personalised quote for you.
