I will be running 2 FREE family-friendly workshops to mark 100 years of Morden Tube station.
On Monday 10th August
10-12am and 2-4pm

You can create your own Underground or Morden-themed designs using Heat Press printing.
These will be turned into unique bunting to decorate the station for its centenary on 12/13 September 2026.

No need to book- just drop in!
Suitable for ages 8-80.
Young children must be accompanied

The hearing with the Mayor and the GLA has been set for 9.30am on Tuesday 21st July. Please follow the link below for all the information including how to get to London City Hall (which is in Canning Town).
If you are able to attend the hearing to show your support then please do! The more local residents that turn up to show the strength of feeling in this area the better.
The format for speakers for and against is as follows: Kingston and Merton Council and Councillors; The Applicant; and then a total of 15 minutes is given for local residents who objected and put themselves forward to speak.
Please note: Local residents will only be given a total of 15 minutes and no more. We are hoping that local residents will trust us to fill these 15 minutes with the speeches that will be prepared and delivered by the Motspur Park Gasholders Watch. We will have a speaker for each of the surrounding areas covering the material objections relating to their area specifically: the West Barnes/Marina Avenue side, the Kingston side (including the Motspur Park area the other side of the railway) and the Kingshill and Station Estate (Serak). We will include all the material and relevant objections that were raised at the original planning committee meeting and specifically focus on those that had the impact to result in a refusal.
Anyone who objected is allowed to put forward a request to speak, but if you intend to do this, please can you let us know as we want to maximise our valuable 15 minutes with only the most relevant points and no duplicated arguments.

Hooray for 100 years of Motspur Park!
We won the Railway 200 small groups category at the Community Rail Awards last night.
The core small team was: Toby Ewin, Paul Gumbrell, Sarah McAlister and Bernie McAlister.
Of course we had help from a lot of other people and massive thanks go to you👏👏
We’re “bringing it home” and hope to have the trophy on show at the library soon.

100 years of Motspur Park was nominated for a Community Event award by South Western Railways.
The dinner is tomorrow, when we will find out who will win it.🤞🤞
