19 off us enjoyed a great evening of train running with a hot supper of Sausage & Chips. This event just gets better every year! Although it’s not possible to run as a full open evening and all that would involve, at least we can share an Owls view of it! 🦉

GREEN VALLEY RAILWAY
‘The Edroy Garden Line’ Garden O Gauge Model Railway is celebrating Railway 200 with a one off special event that’s free!
‘The BIG LOCOMOTIVE LINE UP’
Marking the date and occasion of the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway,
27th September 1825.

Taking place weather permitting this
Saturday 27th September 2025
from 1pm - 4pm.
At 173 Westway Raynes Park SW20 9LR.

A display of over 150 all different O gauge scale locomotives covering Steam, Diesel, Electric including Railcars, EMU’s and DMU’s along with some additional larger scale models will be on display. The Line Up will be covering locomotives from the very early years of railways, pre Grouping, Grouping of the Big Four. GWR LMS LNER SR and through the BR years and ? Also Toy Trains, Steam (Not in Steam) Clockwork, Battery will be included. Some of the locomotive's from the line up will be shown running to a special timetable around the garden circuits of track during the afternoon. The full size Signal Box will be open! Some light refreshments “serve yourself” will be available.

My presentation about the Green Valley Railway was well received at The Wimbeldon Guild. I must say they were very welcoming and have excellent audio visual facilities with a very large wall flat screen. After finishing my presentation I was invited to stay to have lunch on them as a thank you. Back home getting everything ready for displaying the Vintage O gauge layout of Motspur Park Station 100 Years
1925 -2025 at the Merton Heritage Discovery Day this coming Saturday at The Civic Centre, Crown House, Mordon.

The Southern Region Totem fridge magnets have been very popular! Having sold 200 of the Motspur Park 100 Years & 50 of the New Malden. So In good faith we have ordered a further 50 quantity of each! We are hoping that they will be with us in time for the Saturday 16th August for sale at the Merton Heritage Discovery Day at The Merton Cvic Centre, Crown House, Mordon. If we have them in-time they will be available at just £2 Still! Near the Motspur Park Station 100 Years O Gauge Vintage Model Railway Layout, on the ground floor main foyer. After that any remaining ones left will be available from Toby Ewin (Volunteer & Friend of the West Barnes Library, Motspur Park) Who is normally on duty at The West Barnes Library, Motspur Park. From around about 4pm till 7pm on Mondays.
