Roadworks are due to begin out side Isle of Wight Distribution at Merstone PO30 3BT on Monday 7 September, with temporary road closures and diversions in place while bus stop improvement works are carried out ⚠

Access to Isle of Wight Distribution will remain open throughout, but the direction of access will change as the works progress:

Phase 1: Access will be from the west (Newport) direction, with the road closed between our depot entrance and Merstone Lane.

Phase 2: Access will be from the east (Arreton) direction, with the closure moving to the section between our depot entrance and Wight Building Materials.

The road is expected to reopen between phases over the weekend, with temporary traffic signals in place, subject to progress.

Please allow a little extra time when travelling to or from our Merstone depot. We’ll share any further updates as the works progress.

Sending freight to or from the Isle of Wight?

The good news is you don't need to think about ferry timings, crossing bookings, or how to get a pallet from a mainland depot onto the island. That's our job.

We run our own vehicles on scheduled crossings between the mainland and the island, with depots both sides. Whether it's a single pallet, a parcel, or a regular groupage arrangement, you book with us and we handle the rest.

Alongside the island work we also cover UK pallet and parcel delivery, international freight, same day, and general haulage – so if the Isle of Wight is part of a bigger supply chain, we can usually help with the rest of it too.
