Today was a very special day at our Foxash premises as we took delivery of a brand new removal truck — the largest ever to join our fleet.

From the initial decision to build it, to seeing it arrive today, this has been a year in the making. Built from the ground up by the superb team SBR Specialist Coachbuilders in Preston, every single detail has been crafted exactly as Matthew envisioned. The workmanship is simply exceptional.

For the very first time, one of our vehicles proudly carries the name of the founder’s son across the top of the cab — Robert James — with him standing in front of it. A huge thank you to the children for putting his name up there ☝️ He truly deserves it.

From horse and cart driven by his father, to this magnificent truck driven by his son — what an incredible journey.

The office is split into two sections with an entrance reception area, containing the kitchen and toilet facilities of approx 180 sqft. A door then leads into the main office space of approx 400 sqft and another door leading to a further entrance hall with external access of approx 60 sqft.

The office has plenty of natural light with windows facing north.

Full Fibre to the building (fttp) is installed offering good internet speed for telephony and computer use. (service contact with Gamma or similar provider required)

Heating and cooling by air conditioning units (two in main office and one in reception/kitchen)

New kitchen area with built in fridge and hot and cold water.

New toilet and wash basin.

Monthly rent £900 + VAT (£10,800 per year exc. VAT)

Rates and utilities

This office is let to exclude business rates. The current rateable value for the unit is £4750.00 with Tendring District Council. Previous tenants have applied directly and successfully applied for small business rate relief and subsequently had no charges.

Building insurance £450.00 plus IPT per year.

Water and sewerage included.

Electricity charged monthly based on use from the internal meter.

Telecoms excluded.

2 Rubbish bags per week included.

3 Car parking spaces we can however look at additional parking if required.

At the end of the rental period unit to be left in good decorative state and clean.

One month's notice period required to vacate the unit.

We have tried to create a pleasant working environment with a variety of established businesses on site these range from Caterers, Dog Grooming, Pediatrist, Self Storage and Car repairs to name a few. Additionally to the rental of the office space we can offer a storage solution if you need it at an additional charge.

After weeks of detailed planning, careful coordination, and thousands of kilometres travelled, very precious artefacts were safely transported up a mountain and delivered to the full satisfaction of our client.

A huge thank you to Matthew for outstanding organisation, to our dedicated team on the ground and on the road.

From logistics and customs to specialist vehicles and international coordination — a true team effort from start to finish.

Today the gentlemen who work for us, plus the staff, were treated to a breakfast
cooked by their leader Robert, & ably supported by Matt, Glenn, Rachel & Olivia plus our temporary office girl , Imogen.

Throughout the year the men have worked extremely hard, constantly, and with good humour& without rancour.
We are so very grateful for their loyalty and commitment to us as a company.
So before they started their last days work before the Christmas Break Bob thought it a good idea to send them off with a breakfast plus other things of course.!
A company is only as good as its employees, and we have the best.
Thank you all.

Today is a very nostalgic day. A crew in Birmingham moving Mr Schofield's nephew Nigel Cobbs and his wife Carolyn to their new home in the Cotswolds. The lad in the photo is a very much younger Nigel. And I have the pleasure of moving an elderly gentleman that used to be the mechanic servicing the Morris vehicle in the photo at a garage long gone in Colchester. Scott's garage in Crouch Street to his new home within Colchester.

Another of the crew heading back from France today. Hoping for a nice drive toward Calais. They have had a long trip of over 2500 miles and will be happy to be back to their family. They have been down to Monaco to pack and load a property, then on to Milan for a customs clearance visit for the load on the lorry from London. Then continued heading south down past Perugia to Spoleto to make the final delivery. We can only offer such a wide range of removal services due to our amazing staff. The local teams are undertaking five or six moves a day until the end of March due to the stamp duty changes. Thank you all for your hard work.
