Due to continued expansion, MDC Transport Services Ltd is looking for experienced and reliable HGV C+E drivers to join our growing team.

We’re offering walking floor and bulk tipper work, ideal for drivers who enjoy a challenge and want the opportunity to earn good money.

✅ C+E licence required
✅ 2 years’ driving experience preferred – however, please get in touch if you have less experience
✅ Predominantly 5-day weeks
✅ Nights out required
✅ Walking floor & bulk tipper work

🚛 HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver Wanted – Holiday Cover 🚛

MDC Transport Services Ltd, based near Craven Arms, Shropshire (SY7 9BY), is looking for an experienced C+E HGV driver to provide holiday cover for the next 3–4 weeks.

We’re looking for someone who:
✅ Holds a valid C+E licence
✅ Is a confident and reliable driver
✅ Has at least 2 years’ driving experience
✅ Has experience using Walking Floor trailers

This could potentially lead to a full-time position if you’re interested.

☀️🚛 The cab and engine can get incredibly hot when a lorry has been working hard.

Opening that panel will allow hot air to escape from the engine compartment, which may help reduce heat soak around the cab.

For MDC Transport Services, a bulker is particularly versatile because it can be used for a range of agricultural, waste, biomass and general dry-bulk movements rather than being restricted to one type of load.

They can commonly be used for:

* 🌾 Agricultural products – grain, wheat, barley, animal feed and other dry commodities
* 🪵 Wood products – woodchip, sawdust and some biomass materials
* ♻️ Waste and recycling materials – certain dry, loose waste streams
* 🏗️ Construction materials – sand, aggregates and other suitable dry bulk products
* 🧪 Powders and granules
* 🔥 Biomass – materials such as wood pellets and other suitable fuels.

There’s something magical about the last day of the school term when you work in a family business. ☀️🚛

While the children are counting down the final hours until summer, our trucks are out on the road, working incredibly hard through the heat to keep our customers moving.

Back at the office, we’re making the most of a quieter moment to clear the in-trays, tick off the ever-growing job lists, and get everything in order before the holidays begin.

It’s not always glamorous, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Here’s to hardworking drivers, dedicated families, and making memories whenever we can. ❤️
