Traveling to Europe is an exciting prospect, but flight disruptions can be a dampener. Fortunately, the EU261 regulation safeguards travelers' rights. EU261 offers essential protection for those flying within, from and to Europe, ensuring they can confidently handle unexpected delays and cancellations.
EU261, officially Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, outlines passenger rights, providing compensation and assistance for flight delays, cancellations, or denied boarding within the EU or on EU airlines.
This regulation applies to any flight that departs from the EU on any airline, or to any flight arriving in the EU on an EU-based airline. When the UK left the EU, EU261 was adopted into UK law, meaning that the rules still apply equally to UK flights and passengers.
