Last night, a friend reached out to me and thought having money in his account was all that mattered.

So when his credit application was declined, he was confused. He told me he had plenty of money in his account and couldn't understand what went wrong.

That's when he discovered that in the UK, having money is important, but your credit score can play a major role when applying for a mortgage, car finance, mobile phone contracts, and credit cards.
