This beautiful gem of an island in the Mediterranean is recognised as one of the most LGBTQ+ friendly countries in the world, topping the ILGA-Europe Rainbow Map for over a decade. The island offers advanced legal protections, including same-sex marriage (since 2017), adoption rights, a ban on conversion therapy, and constitutional protections against discrimination. 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 but Malta has a 7,000-year history mainly attributed to its strategic location, featuring Neolithic temple builders, Phoenician colonisation (c. 700 BC), and Roman, Byzantine, and Arab rule. We are so excited to announce that Nama Dama (Anastasia) is joining our line-up this year. An incredible one woman show and something that is very new for our festival. We can't wait for you to hear her unique "Pagan Soul" sound. Bringing it all the way from Cyprus, Anastasia’s music is a raw, beautiful mix of her Cypriot and Ukrainian roots—blending traditional folk and ancient storytelling with a modern, exciting, electronic edge.

She is an incredibly accomplished performer, having played at major festivals like Glastonbury and others across Europe, we feel lucky to have her with us in Skala Eressos.

What’s truly amazing is watching her build her tracks right in front of you. She uses live looping to layer synths and percussion creating a huge, immersive soundscape starting from just a single note. It feels less like a standard gig and more like a shared ritual under the stars. Even better then that she'll be performing in our magical, open-air venue, Cine Sappho Magic Nights.

We know you'll give her a warm, Sappho Women welcome!
