Thankyou to the staff at the Coalville Terminal our recent fundraising (cake sales) has meant we were able to pick two charities at random from the list submitted by staff and donate £100 to each - we have also submitted Match it forms so fingers crossed some more money will be donated to these two fantastic charities very soon

Carol Morrin and Kerry Kalinowski had the pleasure of visiting the Daleside Retreat for Chicks Charity for vulnerable and disadvantaged Children today. The retreat opens in a few days time and on behalf of everyone at Freight Canon Site we delivered lots of easter eggs, games, drawing books, crayons, arts and crafts. The patron of this retreat is Jennifer Saunders, hundreds of children will benefit over the coming year ... it is nestled in the middle of the countryside with sheep in the next field. Children will be able to play safely and provide them with unforgettable memories.
We also presented them with a cheque for 520.00 for monies raised from our Freight UK Extended SMT meeting, which we will match through the DHL UK Foundation over the coming weeks. If anyone in Freight UK would like to help support this charity by volunteering their time, please let one of us know.

Did you know there are 700,00 children in the UK that are carers? One child in every three lives in poverty. One in five children have experienced domestic violence between adults in their home.

Daleside is somewhere they can escape this ..... THANK YOU FOR YOU SUPPORT ... together we are making a difference.

Gemma and Jonathan delivered our Easter eggs to Rainbows yesterday 🌈🌈🌈

The eggs then went on a little journey to the Leicester Royal Infirmary Ward 27 to some very poorly children who we are told are very excited to be getting to choose an egg today - thankyou to the staff on ward 27 for kindly sending a picture

Well done to the South West Terminals ... 172 easter eggs donated and delivered to CHICKS in Tavistock - supporting disadvantaged children who will spend 1 week at the farm house doing things that children do - walking on the beach, flying a kite in a field, rock pooling, horse riding and generally laughing and having fun. Photo's coming soon. Massive thanks to Debbie, Sabrina, Nick and Mark for co-ordinating this.

WELL DONE to everyone that supported WE Day, both at the event and also prior to the event with the bag packing, arranging the vehicles to get the merchandise to the arena or on the day itself. 12,000 children attended, all of whom had earnt their place to attend. There was some very moving stories of some amazing things people had done in their life. Looking forward to supporting this event again next year. Well done DHL and all the UK Divisions for working as one.
