Here are some interesting facts about leopards:

Leopard spots are called rosettes. Rosettes are distinctive because they are open in the center, unlike the solid spots of other big cats. The rosettes on each leopard are unique, just like fingerprints on a human.

Leopards are the smallest of the big cats. Males typically weigh between 60 and 90 kilograms (130-200 pounds), while females are smaller, weighing between 30 and 60 kilograms (65-130 pounds).

Leopards are excellent swimmers. They are one of the few big cats that regularly swims to cross rivers or hunt for prey in the water.

Question is, now does this make you want to come on safari to try and spot a leopard? The team are standing by to help get you out on that bucket list trip...

Sometimes we get people who get a tiny bit confused and think rhino horn is made up of ivory similar to elephant tusks so we just thought we would use today's post to correct that. The horn is made up of keratin which is the same protein which helps create human hair and nails. Most rhino's have two horns but Javan and greater one-horned rhinos only have one.

Maybe it's time to get in touch with our team and arrange a safari to Africa to see a rhino up close?

The Loisaba Conservancy in Northern Kenya is a special place to safari and although there are many stunning camps and lodges and as a rule we do not play favourites, alot of the team struggle not to admit that Elewana with Loisaba Tented Camp isn't one of their favourites 🤣. Now what alot of people dont know is that Elewana took the opportunity to capitalise on the exceptional game viewing in the area and opened a new property in the last few years, Lodo Springs. Eight luxurious and beautifully appointed suites, each with a guest ambassador to take care of you while you are there and all with incredible views of the plains of Laikipia below.

The game viewing in the conservancy is stunning and the size of the conservancy (57,000 acres) is significant. There are traditional game driving experiences but the conservancy does allow and the staff do encourage you to get out of the car and safari a multitude of other ways if you like. You can go on walking safaris, camel back safaris, horse back safaris and even mountain biking safaris. You will not be short of animals to see whatever way you decide to safari, with the area being a home for elephants, lion, leopard and cheetah and much more as it is not just Big Five Country. The guides here are incredible.

Do remember to relax though, the staff at Lodo Springs are there for you and the amenities are superb with a great swimming pool also with super views and the food here is also exceptional... You will struggle with the whole concept of leaving.

So.. the team are standing by and availability for 2024 is looking great. Time for that bucket list safari trip to Kenya?

The word Xanadu brings up certain memories for certain people of a certain age but Xanadu Villas & Retreat in the south east of Zanzibar is worth a look for your next beach holiday. A highly private and unique experience where you are moments walk away from gorgeous beaches but there is also the privacy of your opulent villa with it's private plunge pool, stunning interior design nods to the island's Arab history while mixing in gorgeous African statement pieces and a 24 hour butler who you will have to work hard to stump with a request.

There is plenty to do at the resort with a lovely pool, decadent spa and various water sports available which we highly recommend especially the scuba diving. The village of Paje is nearby and that can be explored and Stone Town and the rest of the island are a car ride away and definitely worth exploring. The beauty is you decide what to do each day. One thing, don't come here if you don't love food. The food here is amazing. The menus change each day and the dishes will have you counting down the hours till your next meal.

You know the drill, the team is standing by to get you there, so do get in touch.

We would never resort to posting cute photos of lion cubs as a tactic to sway you into booking a safari so you could see them and other cute baby animals from a safari vehicle and not through a computer or phone screen... No.... Never... Who would do something so un-handed 😜 Happy Friday everyone..

Safari camps should be havens of peace and the team at Great Plains have knocked it out of the park in that respect with their new Okavango Delta property opened in July 2023.

Sitatunga Private Island is deep within the delta in a wildlife rich and vibrant area. We adore what the Jouberts have done with building such a visually stunning four tent camp (and a two bedroom tent set up for families) using mostly wood but no new wood was cut for the build, they used old cuts only. A real push for sustainability. The area for the camp is one of the few locations in the world where one can still see the sitatunga, a rare aquatic antelope, from camp and by boat. We also love that the camp affords people the opportunity to not just game drive to see wildlife but also go on boating safaris, mokoro rides, walking safari and even private helicopter tours of the delta.

This is a stunning camp where you are encouraged to relax be it with an in room massage, or reading a book in the amazing lounge or by having a swim in the pool. You are sure to have the perfect mix of a trip between relaxation and wildlife spotting.

Our team would love to get you out for that bucket list trip to Sitatunga Private Island so please do send us a message and we can get the ball rolling.

To start the week, how about a private island with only four suites in the middle of the Zambezi?

Royal Chundu’s Island Lodge on Katombora Island is the perfect place to hide away from life and experience the wildlife of the region from the water with river cruises, canoeing and birding safaris and the chance to go and see the nearby stunning Victoria Falls from the Zambian side. However with that bath tub (and view from said tube) in each of the four rooms, the exceptional food, swimming pool and spa, you may struggle to even leave the lodge.

The team are standing by to get you out to Royal Chundu’s Island Lodge for that bucket list trip. Send them a message.

So we constantly get asked at the moment for solutions when flying to Africa from mainland Europe or the UK because alot of hub airports and the airlines that fly from them are restricting capacity to Africa for various reasons.

So we appreciate this does not sort the issue in the short term but Lufthansa, an airline that we have alot of respect for, is planning from June 4, 2024 to fly a direct flight from Munich to Johannesburg. The carrier intends to use the ultra modern A350 with a business class and premium economy and economy class.

This will give people more options on top of the daily services between Frankfurt and Johannesburg. This also allows people from other areas of Europe more options as Munich is only a short hop away.

We love being right about how amazing, certain places to stay are in Africa.

Well done to Singita Lebombo and Sweni Lodges in the Kruger National Park in South Africa for making number 15 on the inaugural World's 50 Best Hotels List that was announced yesterday in London.

The list is published by William Reed who also publish the World's 50 Best Restaurants and The World’s 50 Best Bars.

Placing 15th overall and winning the Flor de Caña Eco Hotel Award 2023, they beat out stunning properties like the Raffles Singapore, Eden Rock in St Barths and Six Senses Ibiza and the only other property to place higher than them from the continent of Africa was the La Mamounia in Marrakech.

Well done to everyone at Singita. Our travel team are standing by to get you out to either lodge for a safari.

Who we are

How we started off

Blue Case Management started in late 2006 in events because we saw a logistical and creative challenge in delivering unique events whilst ensuring a real attention to detail. We looked to Africa because we believed that there was more opportunity there than in the West. We started as a consultancy based out of East Africa working for other media and events companies based there but after seeing what was a subpar service standard, we decided to make the leap to becoming a full-service events and marketing agency. For the next several years we took on interesting and challenging projects. We had the privilege of opening hotels and launching multiple well-known brands within the East African market.

The First Milestone

The move into conferences and summits saw us arrive at our second major development phase. When handling a conference for several thousand people, it became evident that having a travel & logistics team within the business would allow us to handle major elements of these larger events that we previously couldn’t handle. Ground transfers, flights and hotel bookings to name a few. This led to our current unique operational partnership with a major travel services group. This partnership allowed us to not only better support our events business with those missing services but allowed us to expand into private leisure travel services to our clients. We opened up the world for our clients and took our first leisure travel booking in late 2009 to rave reviews. This side of the business has seen rapid growth ever since.
