Happy 20th to the OG Mini Mover, Alex.

She is the measure by how we remember how long we have been running our pre-school group. She was nearly 2 years old when the Charnwood Play Rangers brought their equipment over for a 12 week stint.

Georgie started talks with the play rangers to facilitate starting Mini Movers on a regular basis. They came back 12 weeks later for another 3 month session, left a lot of the play equipment and Mini Movers was born.

Since then we have received a variety of grants from Anstey Parish Council which has turned us into what we are today - which we are very grateful for.

We have seen hundreds of young people and their families/carers join us, play, leave us, head off to primary school, head of to secondary school and now university and further education.

We have seen a few volunteers come and go with Karen staying with us now for about 14 or 15 years! She definitely makes the best cuppa in the village on a Tuesday morning and has been a wonderful support and friend to Georgie.

Anyway....Thank you to everyone who has been involved over the last 18 years and happy birthday Alex.

Mini Movers is back to its normal opening times now. Every Tuesday (including today) from 9.30 until 11. Still only £2.00 per child and 50p for a cuppa.

Thank you to all our Mini Movers (including the original Mini Mover in the black and white) who came down to join in our sponsored toddle.

This is just a few of them (with permission to share) who took part and it was fab to see them headed off round the rec.

We will let you know how much we raise when a couple of our poorly Mini Movers have done their toddle...they missed today because they weren't well. 😭 Get well soon. X###

I (Georgie) will be there but won't be able to walk.....due to a rotten appendix. 😳 I will be there to cheer you all on though so please do join us.

We are open today from 9.30 until 11.00 this morning.

Only £2 per Mini Mover plus 50p for a cuppa.

Older children are welcome - please remember that the equipment is designed for pre-schoolers though.
