What a weekend in Keswick at The Lakesman triathlon!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand for a chat about our future training camps and active escapes. We had 4 sign ups for our Mallorca 2027 training camp over the weekend, with so many more of you keen to be part of what we’re building. It is amazing to see how much interest there is in combining serious training with a brilliant holiday experience.

A huge well done to all competitors: it was so nice to see friends out on the course, cheer you on and share in those big finish-line smiles. Your hard work and dedication are exactly what inspire our future trips.

Thinking about taking your swim training somewhere a little more inspiring than the local pool?

The Canary Islands are fantastic for swimming camps, with excellent sports facilities, open-air pools and calm seas, plus a climate that is kind to year-round training. The best time to go is typically autumn through spring (October to April) when the weather is pleasantly warm, the islands are less crowded and conditions are ideal for focused training. Expect daytime temperatures often in the low to mid-20s, plenty of sunshine and mild evenings, with sea temperatures that make open-water sessions very achievable.

Whether you are part of a club, training for a specific event or just want to combine structured swimming with a relaxing break, I can help you plan a tailored swimming camp in the Canaries around your goals, level and preferred island.
