Working with the 'Logic' tine-harrow this afternoon.I had forgotten how seriously effective this bit of kit is to rake dead grass and generally liven-up the sward. This, along with our Logic weedwiper, aereator and topper have been largely responsible for helping to turn what was a miserable seive-infested land into highly productive grazing and Hayledge fields.
Brilliant well-designed kit built by a Hexham based company who are just great to deal with.

Notice from the organisors..

This is a PRIVATE flying event for balloonists and their crews. It is a charitable fund raising event for Mental health and farming charities. There will be NO PUBLIC ADMITTANCE.
There are no designated public viewing spots near to the launch site and all the land surrounding the site is private property.
However, suggested good public viewing places would be Mell Fell or Naddles Crag.
All flights will take place both early morning and early evenings but all are very much weather dependent.
The event takes place 29th/30th/and 31st of May.

Troutbeck looking great today. After a long winter and wet early spring, the ground is really warming up.The grass is beginning to grow well and tractors and equipment can now travel easily over the land. We've rolled and aereated at least half of th 165 acres and great to see contented sheep and new born lambs basking in the sunshine.
Roll on summer..!
