STABBING: Appeal for information: Kent Police are seeking to identify the three men pictured in connection with a stabbing on Maidstone High Street today 28 June. Anyone who recognises them or has information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact Kent Police.
A man has been seriously injured after a stabbing outside a high street pub in the early hours of the morning.
Officers were called near The Stag pub – which has been vacant for months – in Maidstone High Street at about 4.39am on Sunday and have launched an investigation.
Another man was also injured during the incident, with detectives issuing CCTV images to help trace three men who may be able to assist with inquiries.
Patrols and the ambulance service attended incident, which took place between the junctions with Mill Street and Fairmeadow.
A man in his 30s was treated for injuries consistent with stab wounds, and was taken to a London hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable.
A second man, in his 20s, had a cut to his arm treated at a local hospital.
It is alleged the two victims were injured during an altercation with a group of people.

Witnesses who saw the incident and have not yet spoken to the police should also get in touch.
Motorists with dashcam and residents or business owners with private CCTV are also asked to check for relevant footage.
