Dear Valued Customer,

We would like to inform you that the airlines have launched a new collection system called AIS (Advance Information System). This system is now mandatory for shipment collections.

Under this new process, we must submit the driver’s details in advance before collection can take place. To ensure smooth and timely release of your shipments, please provide us with the following information prior to collection:

Driver’s full name

Two forms of ID (ID details)

Vehicle registration number

Planned date and time of collection

We will upload this information into the AIS system ahead of arrival. When your driver arrives at the airline/handling agent, they will verify the details in their system and release the shipment accordingly.

Please note that release notes will no longer be accepted under this new procedure.

DNATA has already implemented this system starting this week, and other airlines are expected to follow.

To avoid any delays in collection, we kindly request that you send the required details well in advance.

Please be advised that, in accordance with instructions received from , the UK Border Force, and the UK Police, we are required to follow strict compliance procedures due to an increase in identity fraud cases related to shipments entering the United Kingdom.

This requirement applies to all customers without exception. Where third-party documentation is provided, a copy of the Company Director’s valid driving licence (or other official photo ID) is mandatory. If you decline to provide the Director’s ID copy, we will be unable to proceed with customs clearance.

Please note that Universal Air Express will not be held responsible for any delays, demurrage, storage charges, or other costs arising from the failure to provide the required documentation.

This message serves as a reminder to always submit the Director’s identification along with proper authorization from the original company when providing documentation.

Furthermore, ensure that all company details stated on the import documents are accurate and correct. Kindly advise your shipper to reflect the correct and complete company information on all relevant shipping documents.
