Its so we'll take a look at some of the projects we have done recently.

As part of our Railway200 celebrations, A Song for Edmondson brought together children and teachers from Hallbankgate School and with singer songwriters, Gareth and Bronwen. They learned about Thomas Edmondson, the first station master at railway station (1836). Through Edmondson's experience at Brampton he developed a new ticketing system introduced nationally and throughout the world. They also found out why Brampton station is 1.8 miles from the town. With the help of the Gareth and Bronwen, the children helped to write lyrics for new songs which they have performed at Lanercost Priory and the Fratry at .cathedral .

This project was award 1st prize at the Community Rail Awards 2026
