“Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.”
‭‭
Psalms‬ ‭39‬:‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

For everything I have today—
roof over my head,
food on my table,
presence of my people,
breath in my lungs,
everything, everyone—
thank You, God.

It’s been a difficult season for many people. Hope is in short supply when job hunts lead nowhere and health challenges aren’t improving and family issues won’t go away. Our Lord Jesus understands what unrelenting disappointment feels like. He knows that “not getting what you want” is frustrating and discouraging. He realizes that we need something to hang on to.

That’s why the Lord wants us to hang on to Him. He’s waiting for the moment we come to the end of ourselves, our plans, our dreams and at last begin to realize that our hope is found only in Him.

To move from doubt to belief requires a leap of faith, which often looks less like leaping and more like waiting, praying, and trusting, as these verses from Psalms teach us:

“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” (Psalm 27:14, NIV)
“Hear my prayer, Lord; let my cry for help come to you.” (Psalm 102:1, NIV)
“Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.” (Psalm 84:12, NIV)
Oh, the fruit of that waiting, praying, and trusting!

When we hang on to hope and don’t lose heart, God will produce in us a whole tree bearing vital food for our souls. Hope grows in a heart made fertile by God’s Word, refreshed by His living water, and warmed by the light of His love every season of the year.

Heartache is a certainty in life. But so, dear friend, is God, the Source of our hope.

MAY PAG-ASA PA BA PARA SA PILIPINAS? Of course.

Yes we see corruption, division, disappointment and many reasons to feel tired as citizens. But don’t lose hope - God is still in control!

May pag-asa pa kasi:
- may parents pa na maayos ang pagpapalaki sa anak
- may mga leaders parin na may integrity
- ang mga young people ay uhaw sa katotohanan
- may mga simbahan parin na nagpi-preach ng gospel
- may mga naglilingkod parin ng tapat
- may mga Christians parin na hindi nagko-compromise

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
— Psalm 33:12

Habang padilim ng padilim ang mundo, tinawag tayo to be the salt and the light!

So keep praying for the Philippines.
Trabaho natin bilang mananampalataya ni Hesus na maging ilaw - so, manalangin.. manindigan sa tama pero wag makipag-away.

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:21

May pag-asa pa kasi walang bagay na nangyayari outside God’s sovereignty.. at hindi pa tapos ang Diyos sa Pilipinas!
