🏝️ A few of the beautiful Beachcomber Tours resorts on Mauritius have had fabulous glam ups this year, with the others due to be finished very soon.

Why visit? A few reasons below.

🍕 I also had the best pizza I have ever had in my life in a little local cafe off the beaten track while exploring the island. (Super easy to drive around!)

I’ve ate a lot of pizza, in a lot of countries. So that is a big statement.

I know 2028 seems a long way off, but if you’ve got a big birthday, anniversary or simply fancy escaping the British winter, this is worth having on your radar!

P&O Cruises have opened pre-registration for their Winter 2028/29 programme, with sailings from October 2028 through to March 2029.

Two options particularly catch my eye.

The Caribbean fly-cruises – I love the idea of swapping our grey winter skies for the Caribbean, especially for anyone who wants to experience several destinations in one holiday without constantly packing and unpacking.

The Canary Islands – A great option for those who fancy some winter sunshine without travelling quite as far. Sometimes a change of scenery and a little sunshine are exactly what’s needed!

One of the things I always recommend when choosing a cruise is looking beyond the ship itself. The itinerary, departure point and overall experience can make such a difference to how much you enjoy your holiday.

And that’s where I can help. I’ll look at the options with you and help find a sailing that genuinely suits the way you like to travel.

Pre-registration is open until 8pm on 19 October, giving you the opportunity to register your interest ahead of the upcoming launch.

There’s also a 10% deposit available on all products at launch, with launch offers running until 16 December 2026.

🍳✈️ FRY FRIDAY! 🍺

Is there anything quite like a full fry-up at the airport with a pint of Guinness?

I don’t care if it’s 6am, 9am or lunchtime. Airport rules apply! 🤣

For me, there’s something fabulous about sitting down to a proper breakfast, passport at the ready, watching the planes and knowing there’s an adventure ahead.

Forget the airport lounge. Give me a fry-up, a pint and a boarding pass and I’m a happy woman! ✈️

I think river cruising is one of the loveliest ways to see Europe — especially if you want to explore several places without your holiday feeling like one long round of packing, unpacking and changing hotels. 🛳️

What I love about the idea of a river cruise is that the journey becomes part of the experience. You’re not simply getting from A to B — you’re actually travelling through the places you’ve come to see, with a completely different view of Europe along the way.

And this is where choosing the right river and itinerary really matters. A Danube cruise isn’t necessarily going to suit the same person as a cruise through France, for example. I’d look at the places you’re interested in, how you actually like to spend your time when you travel, and what you want from the holiday before recommending where you should go.

I can also help you look at the bigger trip — whether it makes sense to add some extra time before or after your cruise rather than simply flying in, cruising and coming straight home.
