It's with great regret that we are having to increase our fares as of 6am Monday the 13/04/2026. We have all been impacted by the price of fuel over the past couple of weeks. Like everyone else, we were hopeful common sense will prevail and the situation would rectify itself without impacting our customers. However, the cost of petrol has increased by 28 pence per litre and drivers can't sustain those cost and be able to deliver the service we pride ourselves on,
Thank you for your continued support

Attention all Renfrewshire cab drivers! 🚖✂️

This April, I’m offering £9 haircuts to all the hard-working taxi drivers out there.

Many moons ago, I was a cabbie myself—so I know all about the long shifts, the graft, the stories, the patience... and the toll it can take. While grabbing some lunch the other day, I spotted a few taxis parked nearby and thought: these guys keep our community moving—let me return the favour.

So whether you’re after a style overhaul or just a tidy up to stay sharp behind the wheel, pop into Rogue & Rascal this month and I’ll get you sorted.

📍 Behind Moorni restaurant, Bishopton
💈 Open Monday–Saturday
No appointment needed—just show your badge

Stay handsome. Stay rogue. And drive safe. 😎

It's with a heavy heart and lots of tears shed,
Myself,Dad and sister have the unfortunate news to share of the passing of the most amazing woman we could ever have met, sadly on the 27th December our world was ripped apart when Mum lost her short battle with cancer and was cruelly taking from us,
On Thursday the 16th of January at 1 pm we get to say our final good byes at The North Church in Renfrew and invite all who wish to be there to join us on mum's final journey to Bishopton cemetery where Mum will be laid to rest, we would like to invite everyone who can back to the Glynhill to remember our Wonder Woman

The next stage of Amey’s essential bridge maintenance works on the M8 eastbound will begin next Monday (17 April).

The works between Junctions 25 (Cardonald) and 25A (Braehead) will be carried out in three phases and will run until Thursday 27 July.

Traffic management will be in place 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the works. There will also be overnight road closures from 8pm to 6am between phases for re-positioning of traffic management. A total closure of eastbound and westbound for one night is also planned to allow set-up of traffic management.

Signed diversions will be in place during the closures. Average speed cameras will also be in operation.

The works, which include bridge deck waterproofing, concrete repairs, resurfacing and drainage improvements on three bridges, will improve the safety and condition of the bridges and reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.

The works will be carried out in three phases:
• Phase one – offside lanes – hard shoulder, slip lane at KGV Dock Access, lanes 1 and 2 at Woyka Viaduct and Cardonald Underpass running as narrow lanes between Junctions 25 and 25A
• Phase two – hard should, lanes 3 and 4 running as narrow lanes. Works taking place with traffic running either side of the works between Junctions 25 and 25A.
• Phase three – lanes 2, 3 and 4 running as narrow lanes between Junctions 25 and 25A

For more information, visit Amey’s website.
