When charter broking becomes a race to the bottom, what gets lost along the way?

At Corporate Jet Investor Dubai 2026, Steffen Fries, Special Advisor to the Group CEO at Chapman Freeborn, joined fellow industry leaders to discuss the forces shaping the charter market.

His key message was clear: an experienced broker’s role is not simply to offer the cheapest aircraft. It is to manage expectations, protect the customer, anticipate challenges and solve problems when they arise. A global network, strong operator relationships and operational experience all contribute to making the booking process as seamless as possible.

The panel also explored low barriers to entry, grey-market charters, and the potential impact of AI.

In a market where quick, low-margin wins can be tempting, quality and service remain the more sustainable path.
