A superb week of Competent Crew and Day Skipper training. Skills sessions in Fowey, a quick visit to Mevagissey before the wind went east then a glorious sail to St Mawes. Heavy weather sailing and skills in The Carrick Roads — two reefs and a storm jib setting us right… then back to Fowey for more manoeuvres and an end of course celebration. Thank you to Ali, Alex, Duncan and Marcus for being such great learners and company. 😀👍🏴‍☠️

Racing with the Cornish Offshore Group (COGS) – 2026

After finishing 2nd overall in the 2025 COGS Coastal Series, we’re stepping up for 2026 — taking on the Offshore Series with longer legs, more testing navigation, and proper passage racing.

The 2026 programme includes:

📍 8–10 May: Falmouth ➜ Roscoff ➜ Fowey
📍 13–15 June: Falmouth ➜ Eddystone Lighthouse ➜ Falmouth ➜ Fowey

📍 24–26 July: Penzance ➜ St Mary’s ➜ Isles of Scilly ➜ Penzance ➜ Fowey

Trying to keep the skills up while Slipstream’s out of the water… Continuous Professional Development isn’t always a chore! Some peachy gusts saw us flying down the harbour, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t just a little bit sore by the finish 😀👍🦾🏴‍☠️⛵️
