Hi there Folks, this is one of the original "Jorvik Dutch Classics" with the 26 inch wheels.
The first upgrade, which many people may be able to do for themselves, was to replace the original 26x1.95 road tyres with 26x2.15 all terrain tyres, this gives better road holding, better breaking and better support when veering away from metalled road surfaces.
The second upgrade was to replace the original rear basket with the pickup truck tub. It is surprisingly light weight being made from exterior plywood and can be finished with varnish, wood stain or paint the Pictured prototype sports Red Mahogany wood stain. I can make these to order for any tricycle which has the framework to mount a rear basket; all I need is the parameter measurements of the specific trike. I make two main versions, one with built on wheel arches replacing the original mud guards and as with the one pictured without built on wheel arches. I have inserted the original wire basket to show the difference in overall size, the volume of the pickup tub is twice the volume of the wire basket.
