I just thought I'd share this as it's now coming to that time of year.....

We've done Montreux, Paris and Venice Christmas Markets so far. We did Krakow last year but literally missed the Christmas market by days 🙈

I've been having a mooch at doing one this year solo and I'm probably going to go with Spain or Italy as they're slightly warmer temperatures... I'm not one for cold tbh 😂😂

I'm also tempted with Winter Wonderland in London this year with Kara 🤔

Timing is EVERYTHING when booking flights!! I find it crazy how much the prices change SO MUCH for the exact same flight 🙈

This Is why one of my favourite hobbies is watching flight prices 😂😂

The European Union’s (EU) Entry/Exit System (EES) is a new digital border system for UK travellers visiting countries in the Schengen area, introduced in October 2025.

If you’re travelling to one of these countries for a short stay using a UK passport, you’ll need to provide your biometric details – such as fingerprints and a photo - when you arrive at the border. This is a quick registration process done as part of your normal border checks.

There’s nothing you need to do before you travel, and there’s no cost to register.

Nothing kills the holiday mood quicker than being told your “hand luggage” is now going in the hold… and that’ll be £££ please 😢

We regularly travel hand-luggage only because quite frankly, I’d much rather spend my money on flights, coffee… or more holidays than luggage 😂☕

BUT… those little airline bag size rules? They’re not suggestions 😬

I’ve seen SO many people get caught out at the gate because their bag is a few millimetres too big — and trust me, they’re not afraid to charge you for it!

So before you fly.....MEASURE YOUR BAG!! 📏

👀 Check your airline’s current hand luggage dimensions, make sure your bag actually fits within them and don’t rely on “well, it looks about right.”

Because finding out your case is too big when you’re already at the airport is NOT the kind of holiday surprise you want 🙈

Save yourself the stress, the faff and the unexpected airport bill......

Check it. Measure it. Then pack it....
