At the end of June, 1975, we planned a three-week trip as a celebration of end-of-term. Captain Fisher and quartermaster Perry.

Elm and Larch from Willow Wren at Middlewich. First week was via Nottingham to Newark, where some of the crew rotated. Then tidal Trent to Leeds, over the summit to Blackburn, where another crew rotation took place.

Final week, via Barton Swing Aqueduct and Anderton Lift to the Manchester Ship Canal. Back onto BWB waters at Ellesmere Port, and returned to Middlewich via Chester.
