⚡️🚌 Ember are hiring drivers in Inverness! 🚌 ⚡️

Inverness is Ember's fastest-growing Hub, and we're launching more new routes and increasing our frequency on others.

We've been in Inverness for a year, and we've been running across Scotland since 2020. Ember are growing fast, with the fleet expanding significantly every year, and we're here to stay.

If you’re keen to progress your career in intercity coach driving, and would like to drive our state of the art 2025 and 2026 plate electric coaches, then we'd love to hear from you.

If you'd like a casual chat with one of our existing drivers before applying formally, we can arrange that too.

With a local starting pay rate of £15.50 per hour and a guaranteed increase to at least £16.30 per hour once you've been with the team for a year, there are also regular opportunities for overtime.

We offer 40 guaranteed hours each week so that Ember's drivers know their established take home pay (even if they are scheduled for fewer hours), and we are also happy to adjust the guaranteed hours for any drivers who would like the confidence of guaranteed work alongside the flexibility of working part-time.

Ember offer flexible annual leave bookings - meaning that drivers can choose and request their own holidays, meaning flexibility for that all-important downtime.

⚡️🚌 Launch day.... today is the first day of Ember's E15 service! 🚌 ⚡️

We've launched a brand new route from Edinburgh to Oban, significantly improving transport links between the west coast and the capital.

We're running four return services per day, seven days a week. The route serves Tyndrum, Callander, Dunblane, Stirling, Grangemouth, Edinburgh Airport and many more stops in between.

It's just £18.05 for an adult single from Edinburgh to Oban if you book online (whether you book weeks before or a minute ahead).

As always:
- there are no hidden 'booking fees' for valid concession card holders, free really means free 💚
- well-behaved pets are very welcome 🦮
- each bus has space for two bikes, and we'd recommend that you book your bike space in advance to guarantee your spot 🚴

⚡️🚌 New route time, this time connecting the central belt to the beautiful west coast... Ember's E15 service will connect Edinburgh with Oban 🚌 ⚡️

From 20 May we're launching a new route from Edinburgh to Oban, significantly improving transport links between the west coast and the capital. Alongside our recent introduction of the E17 connecting Aberdeen and Perth, we're expanding our excellent driving team as we add more new routes and serve new communities right across Aberdeenshire, Perth & Kinross, Angus, Moray and the Highlands.

The E18 route will see new scenic trips between Inverness and Ullapool starting from April 29.

⚡️🚌 New route time, this time up north... Ember's E18 service will run from Inverness to Ullapool 🚌 ⚡️

From 29 April, we're launching a new route from Inverness to Ullapool. This has stops at Conon Bridge, Dingwall and Strathpeffer, and a handful more along the road up to Ullapool.

There will be two return services a day with the timings aimed to allow for connections with the ferry to and from Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. An adult ticket from Inverness to Ullapool is only £2.

⚡️🚌 New route time... with the E17 running from Perth to Aberdeen, Ember is going coastal 🚌 ⚡️

From 8 April, we're launching a new route connecting Perth and Aberdeen. Initially, it will serve Dundee, Arbroath, St Cyrus and Stonehaven with 10 return services per day, increasing to 13 daily services from 13 April. We'll be increasing services further and adding in lots more stops from 29 April — details to follow very soon. Future stops from that date will include Ninewells Hospital, the University of Dundee, Montrose, Monifieth, Inverbervie and more.

Tickets from Arbroath to Dundee are only £4.05 and from Perth to Dundee are £4.85 when you book online.

⚡️🚌 Team Ember will be in Oban on Saturday 28 March! 🚌 ⚡️
