When is the best time to travel to Japan?

Japan is a fantastic year‑round destination, but each season offers something a little different:

🌸 Spring (March–May)
Cherry blossom season, mild weather and a wonderful buzz in the parks, gardens and temples. It is the most popular time to visit, so it needs early planning.

☀️ Summer (June–August)
Hot, humid and full of energy, with colourful festivals, fireworks and great hiking in the Japanese Alps. Ideal if you love long, lively days and don’t mind the heat.

🍁 Autumn (September–November)
Comfortable temperatures and spectacular red and gold foliage. A brilliant time for first‑timers who want great weather, beautiful scenery and slightly fewer crowds than peak cherry blossom.
