Congratulations to all the trainees from the latest cohort of the Scotland's Railway Rail Skills Academy, who graduated on Friday 29th June at the celebration event in Glasgow.

Thank you to the Tier 1 Contractors who have supported the programme and offered interviews to each of the candidates on Friday. We can't wait to hear the outcomes and see the young people all make their way into their new careers in the Rail Industry!

A huge well done to the current cohort of trainees on the Scotland's Railway Rail Skills Academy! They have all successfully completed the training element of the programme today by passing the Track Induction course. This competence is added to the various small plant and tools, first aid, mental health first aid, CITB Health and Safety Awareness, PTS and OLEC1 competencies they have gained during the past 6 weeks.
They will now all be gaining some real life rail experience by taking part in on site work experience placements with The QTS Group AmcoGiffen SPL POWERLINES UK&I Story Contracting Limited VolkerRail Ltd and Babcock International Group
They have all worked so hard and are looking forward to securing work in the rail industry.

Congratulations to our railway safety critical assessor, and now trainee trainer, Alix Rafferty, who has now achieved her Level 3 Training qualification!
Alix joined QTS Training 14 years ago as a junior administrator and has worked her way through training co-ordinator and team leader roles, prior to commencing her upskilling and operational role two years ago. She also managed to fit in a couple of years of travelling the world before joining the team again to start her trainer/assessor upskilling!
Well done Alix, we are excited for the next part of your journey with QTS Training.

We were proud to be invited by CK Contracts to deliver their inaugural CK Contracts Skills Academy! We thoroughly enjoyed working with all of the trainees and watching their confidence and knowledge grow throughout the programme and it was fantastic to see them receiving their contract of employment at the celebration event! Well done to everyone at CK Contracts for initiating this fantastic programme and bringing 10 people from unemployment into careers for life!

Hard to believe but it’s been five years since we created our bespoke IRATA training centre at our Rench Farm HQ.
