We are looking for a number of Production Operative to assist with the production of concrete railway sleepers.
The role involves working on 4 long production lines to continuously cast and demould concrete railway sleepers, whilst also cleaning after the process on a regular basis. Both automated and semi-automated machinery is used in this process, but it does require manual handling and is physically demanding work.
No experience is needed as training will be given.
The role will work over 4 days Monday - Saturday (2 days shifts and 2 night shifts) working 6-6. The working pattern changes over the month to allow for a 5 day weekend once a month.
Nightshift allowance is paid at time and a quarter and any overtime worked on a Sunday is paid at double time.
Following successfully completing the probationary period a pay review will take place increasing the pay to £9.50 per hour
The role is also eligible for a production bonus which has averaged at £2.00 for each hour worked.
