Owning a boat⛵️new or old is a cycle of constant upgrades and maintenance and we 🤦🏼‍♀️❤️⛵️🤦🏻‍♂️ love it! We’ve been doing updates ready for our cruise next week on ⛵️⚓️🤍 amongst other things we’ve added a couple of 🆕 dedicated USB sockets below deck and in the cockpit. More and more equipment uses USB rather than the old school three pin plugs. We used the Scanstrut waterproof USB sockets above and below deck simply due to them having high quality wiring and connectors. Cheap stuffs corrodes REALLY quickly at sea.
One thing that never ceases to surprise is how well built Moodys are the thickness of the wood in the cabinets on ⛵️⚓️🤍 is unreal!

Amy passed!! 🎉🥳 she is now a fully certified Day Skipper!!! ⛵️Video coming soon of our experience with the excellent . Nick our instructor was brilliant and taught Andy a few new tricks too! Btw Andy was already a Day Skipper but upgraded him to the modern certificate. Video of the experience coming soon!!!

Look who passed their Day Skipper theory!! Massive thanks to tutor Bruce who was extremely patient with all my questions and a general all round fab teacher. The practical is booked for July but I’m sure Andy will be testing my knowledge on Kingfisher as soon as we get back on the water ⚓️🤍⛵️🙄😂

It’s 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ and ⛵️🤍⚓️ is getting ready for the new season! Woohoo!! We received our new Gas regulator, hose and multiple attachments so we can now cook on board with whatever Gas bottle we can find. For those that don’t know has stopped supporting 4.5kg gas bottles (too expensive to process apparently). This is a big deal as it’s the standard used across all boats and caravans. This means we (and every other U.K. sailor) now have the challenge of finding the last of the 4.5kg Calor Gas bottles and find something else that fits our gas locker. Right now it’s between Camping Gaz (half the size and twice the cost) or Flogas (the same size but hard to find and may not fit securely in the gas locker) 🙄

Just received this delivery!! I’m finally starting the day skipper theory course this week ahead of the practical in August!! Can’t wait to start fighting over the captain’s hat 😆😂

We took a trip on the for a Christmas treat! We loved the experience riding along on the Steam train Braveheart it was really special and so well done.

We level up ⛵️🤍⚓️ with an EX1 exhaust temperature 🌡️ gauge. Having a blockage on your raw water intake such as a plastic bag going in there or even something going awry internally with the engine to stop the engine cooling can cause big problems later on. We thought we’d play it safe and install this display so we get an early warning rather than knowing before it’s too late.
