Can this be a Solution?
With tensions rising around the Strait of Hormuz, could oil really bypass this critical chokepoint?
Picture this: tankers offload cargo at a safe drop-off point before the strait, massive oil trucks haul the product overland across the desert peninsula, then reload onto waiting vessels at a pickup point on the other side. No passage through the contested waters, no risk of blockade.
Technically feasible? Yes β trucks already move oil in many regions. Economically viable at scale? Thatβs the real question β cost, time, infrastructure, and security would be massive hurdles.
But in a crisis⦠is it possible? Absolutely worth considering.
