Penny Blay, Travel-PA IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, I CAN BOOK IT! Hi, I’m Penny Blay, your Travel-PA. Do you have a passion for travel? So why should you book your holiday with me?
(1)

Luxury Hotels & Villas, Ocean & River Cruises, City Breaks, Safaris,
Multi-Centre Destinations,
Rail Journeys, Weddings & Honeymoons,
Celebration Holidays for Birthdays & Anniversaries
ABTA No 57032
ATOL No 2886 If so, then I have a passion to find the best price for your trip! Whether you enjoy a ‘sun, sea and sand’ type of holiday or something a bit more adventurous and off the beaten track, I

can help with suggestions and ideas. Firstly, I take personal care of planning and booking your itinerary, searching for the perfect hotel, the best flights, the right car hire – all for amazing prices! I have access to tour operators who only deal with the travel trade, therefore I can find the best deals for your holiday which you won’t find online. Secondly, I can also book with well known tour operators such as EasyJet, Expedia, Jet2 Holidays, Kuoni, Sandals, all the cruise companies – and many others. This means I can combine itineraries to create a tailor-made holiday just for you! Any of the holidays you see on my website - https://www.pennyblaytravelpa.co.uk/
- or my page can be amended to suit your requirements. If you want different dates, just let me know and I can re-quote accordingly. You’ve seen a cruise but you want to add a hotel on at the beginning or the end? Not a problem! Whatever your travel dreams are, please ask me for a price to make your dreams become reality! Some people think that booking a holiday with me is more expensive than booking your holiday online - it isn’t. I get paid commission by the tour operators and hotels we use. When you book your holiday online, that commission is already included in the price you pay - you just won’t know where it goes! So wouldn’t you rather that commission goes to somebody who has personally helped plan and book your holiday for you? So let me do all the hard work searching and comparing the best prices for your holiday, and at the same time provide a great personal service, backed up with the guarantee of ABTA and ATOL protection. So stress less and travel more with me,
Penny Blay, your Travel-PA

Located on the outskirts of Nairobi sits the iconic manor house originally built in 1932 as a hunting lodge. In the 1970s, the first orphaned Rothschild giraffe was adopted here, and over the years the giraffe population has steadily grown. In 2009, the property was transformed into the world-famous Giraffe Manor we know today. Now recognised as one of the most Instagrammed hotels in the world, Giraffe Manor is renowned for its unforgettable breakfasts, where resident giraffes wander up to the dining room windows and gracefully lean inside, creating the perfect once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity.

THE ROOMS
The original Manor House features six individually designed rooms, each carefully decorated to recreate the elegant atmosphere of the 1930s. The most spacious is the Karen Blixen Suite, named after the celebrated author of *Out of Africa*, and includes furniture gifted by Blixen herself to a former owner in the 1970s.

Built 78 years after the original property, the Garden Manor sits adjacent to the Manor House. Constructed using reclaimed materials, it mirrors the style and charm of the original so seamlessly that you would hardly notice the difference. The Garden Manor also offers six luxurious rooms, including the Finch Hatton Suite, named after Denys Finch Hatton, Karen Blixen’s famous companion, who tragically died in a plane crash in Tsavo National Park.

THE FACILITIES
The Manor House is home to the hotel’s shared spaces, including a cosy lounge, library, and the famous Sun Room, where the giraffes join guests during breakfast. For an even closer encounter, guests can feed the giraffes pellets by hand — or even enjoy the famous “giraffe kiss” experience.

Behind the manor, the charming Orchid House showcases the property’s award-winning orchids and provides a stunning setting for private dining experiences. Guests can also unwind in the Garden Treatment Room, offering a selection of relaxing massages and beauty treatments.

A stay at Giraffe Manor is highly sought after and often booked more than a year in advance. One of the best ways to secure availability is by combining your stay with other properties within Kenya.

As your Travel-PA, I can custom make this experience into a tailor-made Kenya holiday, combining Giraffe Manor with luxury safaris, beach stays, and unforgettable wildlife experiences across Kenya for the ultimate African adventure.

The Italian Lakes are one of Europe’s most elegant holiday regions, stretching across northern Italy at the foot of the Alps. Famous for dramatic mountain scenery, colourful lakeside villages, gardens, and a mild climate, the area attracts visitors seeking relaxation, culture, and outdoor adventure.

The best-known lakes include Lake Como, celebrated for grand villas and glamorous resorts; Lake Garda, the largest lake, popular for sailing, hiking, and family holidays; and Lake Maggiore, admired for its botanical gardens and charming islands. Smaller lakes such as Lake Orta offer a quieter, romantic atmosphere.

Tourists can enjoy boat cruises between picturesque towns, dine on fresh fish and northern Italian cuisine, or explore historic villas surrounded by cypress trees and subtropical gardens. Activities range from swimming, cycling, and water sports to mountain walks with spectacular alpine views. The lakes are also known for stylish cafés, luxury hotels, and lively local markets.

Spring and early autumn are ideal times to visit, with warm weather and fewer crowds. Excellent rail and road connections from Milan make the Italian Lakes an easy and unforgettable destination combining natural beauty, history, and sophisticated Italian charm.

✨MY TOP TIPS FOR TRAVEL ✨

Our holidays are the highlights of the year, when we can relax and forget about work and the usual stresses and strains of everyday life. Below are some of my top tips to make sure your holiday goes smoothly and according to plan…

1. Get your travel insurance sorted AS SOON AS YOU BOOK YOUR TRIP! Don’t leave it until the week before you travel – anything can happen between booking your holiday and the day you go. A family emergency, an accident or illness can prevent you from travelling – if you don’t have your insurance in place, then your holiday and the money you’ve paid are at risk if you can’t go.

2. CHECK YOUR PASSPORT is valid for travel and whether you need any visas for your destination. For example, if you are travelling to the USA and you need to apply for an ESTA, please allow plenty of time for this. Although ESTAs are usually approved quickly, if your application is denied, you will need to apply for a standard visa – this can take months!

3. When packing with your husband/wife/partner/family - DO NOT PACK YOUR CASES INDIVIDUALLY. Spread your clothes between all your cases, so if one case goes missing, you will all have something to wear when you arrive at your destination.

4. Another tip when packing – KEEP ALL MEDICATION WITH YOU. Cases can go missing; you don’t want to arrive to discover your critical medication has disappeared. Nobody wants to be searching for the nearest pharmacist on arrival at their destination!

✨ From £1,670 per person based on 2 adults sharing

A visit to Tromsø in November offers the perfect chance to experience the magic of the Northern Lights. As winter begins, snow covers the mountains and the city glows beneath the long Arctic nights. Temperatures hover around freezing, creating a crisp but comfortable atmosphere for exploring.

Many visitors join Aurora Hunters tours, where expert guides track weather conditions and drive into the countryside in search of clear skies. Away from city lights, you may witness the aurora appearing as soft green waves before dancing dramatically across the sky in shades of green and purple. Standing beneath the lights beside a frozen fjord is an unforgettable experience.

During the day, Tromsø offers cosy cafés, Arctic cuisine, and attractions such as the Arctic Cathedral. November combines adventure, beauty, and the unique atmosphere of the Arctic winter.

We spent a peaceful couple of hours at the Baths of Caracalla today.

This is one of the largest and best preserved thermal baths in Rome, and was built by the Emperor Caracalla between 212 and 216 AD.

All good things come to an end, and we're heading home tomorrow.
