Our Gift Shop is well stocked with something for everyone. Greetings Cards with a railway or local themes, Totem Fridge Magnets for Carnforth and many more stations. Personalised note pads and, of course, "Brief Encounter" teatowels, shopping bags, postcards, mugs and much more.

We are open daily 10am to 4pm.

Amongst our best sellers in Gift Shop are pre-loved Railway and Transport books, most often donated from down-sized collections, or from other organisations.

We are always on the lookout for quality transport books for the shop. Please consider us if you are looking to dispose of collections.

We love it getting visitors when we're open, and we can't stop people visiting when we're shut. We are on a railway station, after all.
But we would ask that you bin your rubbish, or take it home with you. Carnforth Heritage Visitor Centre is run by volunteers and the last thing they want to do is clear up someone else's mess.

Please KEEP CARNFORTH TIDY. It's YOUR town.

Our biggest ever MODEL RAILWAY WEEKEND is less than two weeks away. At least 14 layouts plus loads of stalls selling new and used model items.

An evening about Captain William Bligh, of "Mutiny of the Bounty" fame. Fascinating lecture and hot supper. See poster for booking.

Sat/Sun August 22nd and 23rd, 2026.

Open 10am to 4pm both days. Adults £4, U16s FREE.

14+ Layouts, from O-14, O, OO, OO-9, N, British, Welsh, Yorkshire, Swiss, American, plus micro layouts.

Trade support on the covered platform and refreshments available at the Brief Encounter Bistro & Bar.

A great day out for all the family.
