💜✨ WHAT’S ON THIS WEEKEND — CARDIFF & BEYOND ✨💜

I’m a bit later with this one than usual 😅 but here we go…

There is SO much happening this weekend — pumpkins are definitely taking over 🎃 but there are also some lovely free events, theatre, science, markets and a few things that are a bit different too.

A few ideas if you’re still making plans 👇
🎃 Halloween at Fonmon Castle — Saturday & Sunday
Their daytime Halloween event starts this weekend, running 10am–3pm, with spooky family fun around the castle. There are also separate evening Halloween events, so make sure you book the right one for your family.

This looks like a really good free one — music, a junk orchestra, eco-friendly face painting, workshops, theatre and lots of activities for families. �

🎃 Clearwell Farm Pumpkin Village — Saturday & Sunday, 10am–5pm
Pumpkin picking, autumn photo spots and plenty of seasonal fun.
Their Twilight Pumpkin Picking is also on Friday & Saturday evenings 🌙

🦙 Halloween at The Meadows Wildlife Park — Saturday & Sunday
Pumpkin picking, Halloween trail, crafts and all the animals too.
Just check which ticket you’re booking if you want to do all of the Halloween activities.

Pumpkin patch, animals, soft play and a full farm day out.
The bigger Autumn Barn programme is half-term only, so this weekend is mainly about the pumpkin patch and usual farm attractions. �

Another pumpkin option if you fancy somewhere different, with daytime and Twilight sessions running this weekend.

Daytime pumpkin picking is on again this weekend, plus Twilight Picking Friday & Saturday evening for older kids and teens who fancy something a bit spookier 👀

A nice one if you’ve had enough pumpkins already 😂
Apple juicing, crafts, food, music and orchard activities at Margam Country Park.

Their family experience is running this weekend too, with sessions before 7pm.
It’s recommended for ages 5+ and is designed to be spooky and fun without the extreme scares of the later sessions.

A fun one for families if your kids love the Dog Man books.

A family adventure through 2,000 years of Welsh history, inspired by Cardiff’s own Balloon Girl, Louisa Maud Evans.

A 45-minute forensic science workshop for ages 7+, running at 11.10am and 3.10pm.
It’s £5 per child kit on top of normal admission.

An interactive adventure inspired by Welsh folklore.
The activity itself is free, with normal Tredegar House admission applying. Designed for ages 7+, although parents can use their discretion.

We’ve got 3 complimentary two-week Happy House trial places still available with Hartbeeps Cardiff North & Caerphilly.
These will be offered on a first come, first served basis to children who are:
✨ 16 months–5 years
✨ Walking unaided
Classes are at Llanishen Leisure Centre:

💜 Thursday – 9:45am
The trial covers two consecutive weeks, starting this week.

🎶✨ CARDIFF MUMS GIVEAWAY! ✨🎶

We’ve teamed up with the lovely Hartbeeps Cardiff North & Caerphilly to give away FOUR FREE two-week Happy House trials to Cardiff Mums families! 🥰

Happy House is a fun-filled, highly interactive musical class for toddlers and preschoolers aged 16 months to 5 years, with younger siblings welcome too.

Every week brings a different adventure, with:

🎵 Fabulous songs and original nursery rhymes
🧸 Gorgeous puppet characters
🎭 Dressing up and imaginative play
✨ Props, music and lots of fun!

Classes take place at Llanishen Leisure Centre. Each winner will attend the same chosen class for two consecutive weeks:

💜 Mondays 12 and 19 October at 10am
💜 Tuesdays 13 and 20 October at 9:45am
💜 Thursdays 15 and 22 October at 9:45am
