💜 Learning Disability Week 2026 💜
This week is Learning Disability Week, and this year's theme is all about ensuring people with learning disabilities are seen, heard and valued.
Too often, people with learning disabilities face barriers, misunderstandings, and assumptions that prevent them from being fully included in everyday life. This week is a reminder that everyone deserves respect, opportunities, friendships, independence, and a voice that matters.
As parents, carers, family members, friends, colleagues, and community members, we can all play a part in creating a more inclusive world where differences are celebrated and everyone feels they belong.
Let's challenge outdated stereotypes, promote understanding, and recognise the incredible contributions people with learning disabilities make to our communities every single day.
