Part 2… THEY MADE IT! ✈️🙌

For anyone who saw our earlier post about the two girls we found stranded in the rain with their suitcases on the roundabout near the M4/M49 while trying to get to Bristol Airport…

They made their flight! 🙌✈️

We dropped them at Bristol Airport and hoped they’d manage to get through in time — and thankfully, they did!

What a lovely ending to something that started with two people standing soaking wet at the side of a roundabout, wondering whether they were going to miss their holiday.

We’re sharing this not for praise, but because today was a great reminder that it costs absolutely nothing to be kind.

We just happened to be in the right place, at the right time, going in the right direction. It took very little out of our day, but it meant the world to somebody else.

And seeing the messages afterwards?

That made our day too! ☺️

They’ve now safely touched down in Larnaca, so all that’s left to say is…

*Part 1*

Always great to help somebody in need. It costs nothing to be nice, and there isn’t a better feeling in the world ☺️

Driving to Bristol Airport today, I came off the M4 at the M49 junction and spotted two girls standing in the middle of the roundabout, in the pouring rain, with their suitcases and looking understandably upset. Shockingly, they had been stood there for an hour and nobody had stopped 😢

I pulled over to check they were OK. Turns out they’d been getting a lift to the airport when the car had broken down, leaving them stranded with a flight to catch.

As luck would have it, I was heading to Bristol Airport myself.

Suitcases loaded, off we went… and fingers crossed they made their flight! 🤞

Sometimes a small act of kindness can make a massive difference to someone’s day. ❤️

I’ve told my son George that if we reach 6,000 followers by Friday 4th September we’ll sign up for the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge. I blame one too many beers for that decision on a rare night off 🤣⛰️

Who’s glad to see the rain?! ☔️🌧️

We think it was definitely needed… although it hasn’t made our journey to Bristol this evening much fun!

Terrible visibility, lots of standing water and flooded roads along the way.

A reminder of just how quickly airport parking costs can add up.

A stay of just 1 hour and 5 minutes at Luton Airport Terminal Car Park 1 resulted in a charge of £30.50.

For businesses and professional drivers regularly travelling to and from UK airports, parking charges like these are an increasingly significant consideration when planning airport journeys.

Convenience certainly comes at a premium when parking close to the terminal.
