So many people ask, “What does MET stand for?” Well, here’s where it all began… 💙

9 years ago today, MET was born.

What started as a little idea to earn some extra money alongside my regular taxi driving has turned into something I could never have imagined.

It’s been the most incredible journey, full of hard work, challenges, unforgettable moments and opportunities I never dreamed possible.

Looking back at where it all started and seeing how far we’ve come makes me incredibly proud.

Here’s to 9 amazing years, and to everything still to come! 💙🥂

Prime Minister Andy Burnham has opened the door to Britain potentially rejoining the European Union, admitting that Brexit has done more harm than good.

With businesses facing increased costs, trade barriers and economic uncertainty, could closer ties with Europe be the way forward?

Nothing has been decided yet, but it’s certainly a significant development.

*Monday 12th October*

Not the best start to the week!

En route to London Heathrow and unfortunately we find ourselves at a complete standstill on the M4, with what appears to be a road closure near Junction 19.

We can only presume this is due to an accident, and sincerely hope that everyone involved is safe and well. ❤️

In the meantime, there’s not much we can do other than sit patiently and wait for the traffic to start moving again.

We’re doing our best to keep our clients informed of the situation and minimise any disruption, although some delays are unfortunately beyond our control.

The weather isn’t particularly great today either, so if you’re heading out on the roads, please take extra care.

Stay safe, everyone, and here’s hoping Monday gets a little better!

⚠️ AVOID Rover Way Cardiff 08/10/26 ⚠️

The state of our roads is an absolute disgrace.

One of our drivers, Shabir, was on his way to Heathrow with a client this morning when he suffered two tyre blowouts due to a pothole on Rover Way in Cardiff and pulled into Tesco car park.

Within 10 minutes, two more cars arrived with the same problem. Within half an hour, there were seven cars parked up with tyre blowouts. That number has now risen to around 8–10 cars.

Within 20 minutes, we had our client in another car to continue their journey. A massive well done to Shabir, who then helped other affected motorists as best he could while waiting for recovery. Thank you for going above and beyond 👏

This goes beyond one stretch of road. The poor condition of our roads is leaving motorists facing expensive repairs, disrupted journeys and concerns for their safety.

We need proper investment in road maintenance and repairs that last, alongside urgent action on this stretch of Rover Way.

Drivers deserve better.

We definitely picked the wrong week🫣

Between the home football fixtures, looking after our regular business clients and arranging the transfers for 40 people attending the Welsh BAFTAS we simply have not stopped, working around the clock. On top of that, we’ve been moving house 🤣🤣🤣

We moved 7 days ago today and this is the first time I’ve managed to sit down for an evening, put my feet up, enjoy a b**r and switch off a little from MET.

On the plus side, we absolutely love the new house and just can’t wait to be fully unpacked and settled 💙
