Briggs Equipment UK regional sales executive Steve Rock conducted a site survey and advised owner Rob that by that by moving to the product, the machines have lower closed height on the masts to allow them full access throughout their premises, where the existing equipment was restricting their operation.

A site survey is conducted by experienced staff who can identify potential cost saving strategies by working smarter with appropriate equipment. They can advise on safety, productivity and problem areas such as inclines, damaged or uneven floors or height restricted doorways.

When Briggs Equipment UK visited the SMC site, the current fleet was being used inside the based factory for lifting metal structures during the coating process and outside loading and unloading lorries.

Despite the flooring being level throughout, the existing trucks were working harder as they were covering more ground at the larger site. Wear and tear began to increase two-fold and SMC found the trucks were no longer cost effective.

This is why a solution was proposed.

Has It Covered in at the SMC Fabrication Plant. Briggs Equipment UK​ has helped a local business save on crippling running costs after delivering a brand-new fleet of forklift trucks.

After expanding their metal fabrication business to a new site in 2016, Specialist Metallic Coatings (SMC) found their existing fleet of trucks were not meeting new business requirements.
