Wanted – Meat railer driver, UK and Benelux countries, onwards to Poland.
This is honest hard work. It involves some handball, but mainly euro rail work. You will be required to unload the lambs to ensure that the quantities are correct to each drop. The run will require 7/10 days out at a time as the backload is from Poland (Poznan). The route out with the lambs is multidrop (6 to 10 drops), and the backload is direct to the UK. The rate of pay for this is between £40/45k pa PAYE, dependant on experience, with all the benefits that are standard within the transport industry. The owners of the company (us) started these runs, and still cover them as and when required. We therefore know what is possible, and would not plan anything that we wouldnt do ourselves. Experience preferred, although we are more than happy to train the right driver. Serious applications only please.
