Plans to reorganise local government and redraw county/City boundaries to create a new Sussex and Brighton Strategic Authority have suddenly been paused pending a review. Awaiting a statement from Brighton & Hove City Council

This proposed new bridge would be part of the to Greenway, a traffic-free route for walking/cycling.

Wealden council leaders have set aside more than half-a-million pounds for a new bridge, which would form part of a proposed ‘Greenway’ linking Uckfield and Lewes.

The Valley Gardens route is almost complete! It's a great link to/from the seafront. Just be aware that the lights at the bottom of North Street have yet to be set up, so crossing at that point needs awareness of traffic coming from the south as well as from North Street. The photos make this clearer.

Notice of closure for the Undercliff path east of the Brighton and Hove City Boundary for 4 weeks from 7th September. This is east of Whitecliffs cafe according to the boundary map. There's also a survey about building a gym at the end.

⚠️ Saltdean Undercliff path closure

From Monday 7 September, the undercliff path will temporarily end at the Brighton & Hove City Council boundary for around four weeks to allow for essential sea defence maintenance and the construction of an undercliff kerbed planter.

The planter will increase biodiversity with vegetated shingle plants and will provide some protection against falling chalk and stones by keeping path users away from the cliff base.

Warning signs are in place to advise where the path is closed for these essential works to take place.

We’re also seeking views on a proposed outdoor calisthenics gym at East Saltdean Undercliff. Take the survey by 14 September using the link in the comments.

Some of our group are doing the Isle of Wight Randonnee on September 6th. So we won't be organising any additional ride on that day. This charity fundraiser supports the IOW's hospice and end-of-life care. At the moment it looks like you can still enter on the day! ☀️🚴🥇🛳️👩‍⚕️🌳

On Sunday 6th September Arun-Adur Cycling Club CTC are organising their annual Churches Ride starting at Shoreham Airport at 9:30 or at Cadence Cafe, Partridge Green at 10:30.
