As a resident and local business of Brighton & Hove I have taken it upon myself to begin a campaign against the proposals of the current council on issues related to transport in this city. Heated discusions have been continuing to take place and have included: extensions to existing parking zones, planned roll out of new parking enforced zones, signifgant increases in parking charges, signifgant
increase in business and resident permit costs, poorly planned road works, badly managed traffic mangement systems, the roll out of 20 mph zones and costly works on cycle lanes to name just a few hot topics! In increasingly drastic measures the local council has made it's statements clear with it's cut throat mentalitly towards the motorist. So as a result of all this, I have begun this site to fight Brighton & Hove's plans to grind the city to halt with sweeping new laws, practices and regulations. Plans such as above will no doubt weaken already stuggling trade, cripple tourism and kill the very spirit that makes Birghton & Hove such a special place to live and visit. With your help and input ladies and gentleman we can put an end to the nonsense surrounding parking and transport issues. But for now whether we like it or not this is a very real issue that is now having a severe impact on us, the resident, and deeply affecting the city of it's basic ability to move and trade freely.
