My time in Iraq - 2025. I will never forget how much this opened my eyes. A country that I only knew for one thing growing up - war.

Well… was I in for a shock when I went against all travel guidelines?!

I took my motorcycle from the south to the north, attempting to wild camp along the way.

It turns out that I’d find that quite hard, but it wasn’t really for bad reasons like you’d expect.

One of my favourite places I’ve ever been, and I’d love to return some day!

While I’m aware there is danger here, the point of this video is to show that the world is far better than we are lead on to believe.

Negative news spreads like wildfire, while positive news seems to get lost in translation.

I think it is always best to go with an open mind, and with respect so you can see for yourself.

If you don’t judge, you show common respect, and are there as guest - people will treat you with kindness.

I truly believe that most in the world is good!

What a session cheers to the lads n lasses .rose.academy

I’ve done a fair bit of off-roading during my travels, but I’ve always known there were some niggles that I wouldn’t be able to fix myself.

Working with the crew at Desert Rose, they instantly picked up on what I was doing wrong, kept me in check by constant reminders, and after a bit of practice I started to get the hang of it a lot more.

Standing in the correct position, changing gears while upright and learning how to control the bike, rather than the bike control you, gives you the ability to take things with more speed and confidence.

Wish I got to spend a day to put it all into action, and get a few more shots, but hopefully I’ll do that soon!

What a weekend! Played my film to a crowd, did a Q/A, and met some of those who inspired me before and during my Thailand to UK trip, like mr c90adventures, Ted Simon, and Nathan Millward!

Adventure Bike Rider Festival was an absolute blast! Met so many cool people on a similar journey, with incredibly fascinating stories. All walks of life, coming together over a love for one thing - adventure motorcycle riding.

Even got some stellar tips from Desert Rose on their off-roading course. I’ve done a bit by myself before, but picked up some bad habits they helped me to correct offering me more control and speed of the bike.

Got a lot to share with you once I get some developed film photos back from the team at ABR.

Looking forward to the next one!
