Not had a great deal of time available for the layout the last few days, so was determined to get out in the shed today and I got a fair bit done too thankfully.
First of all I took the side panels off, cleaned them up and then added a backing scene, then added some lights to some buildings (not done them all, and also not wired them in yet, but they are working and ready. In doing the buildings I had to remove them from the layout, remove the base that had been glued to them and then paint the inside of them to hopefully reduce light bleed.
I then added an out frame that will then act as a good for me to put in some top lights.
I intend to do something to hide the screw holes in the backing, not sure what yet, but it won’t stay with screws on show, and I also need to repair the damage to the back scene in the corners due to complications…
A few other bits still to do include adding in some street lights and some vehicles, also have some more wildlife to add too, just not sure where yet… maybe some more figures too here and there.
Very happy with the progress today though, hoping over the next few weeks to get this ready for exhibitions hopefully 🤞🏻
